On June 3, 2026, Wuxi Yinda Nylon Co., Ltd. completed its acquisition of Germany’s Perlon Group, a global leader in synthetic filament yarns. Founded in 1938, Perlon faced declining European paper machinery demand, rising energy and labor costs, and Asian competition. Despite parent company Serafin’s investments, Perlon entered insolvency in October 2025.
