General Administration of Customs: Import and export in the first three quarters increased by 9.9% year on year
China's import and export totaled 31.11 trillion yuan in the first three quarters of this year, up 9.9 percent over the same period last year, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) said on Oct 24. Among them, exports were 17.67 trillion yuan, up 13.8 percent; Imports were 13.44 trillion yuan, up 5.2 percent.
In September, the total value of China's imports and exports was 3.81 trillion yuan, up 8.3 percent. Among them, exports were 2.19 trillion yuan, up 10.7 percent; Imports were 1.62 trillion yuan, up 5.2 percent.
From the perspective of export products, in the first three quarters, the export volume of plastic products in China was 525.93 billion yuan, an increase of 14.5%; The export of refined oil products was 35.451 million tons, down 27.6%; The export volume of fertilizer was 17.265 million tons, down 33.8%.
From the perspective of imported products, crude oil, coal, natural gas imports reduced prices. In the first three quarters, China imported 370 million tons of crude oil, down 4.3%; The import price was 4808.3 CNY/ton, up 55.1%. Coal imports were 201 million tons, down 2.7%; The import price was 989.6 CNY/ton, up 66.2%. Natural gas imports were 81.163 million tons, down 9.5%; The import price was 4,006.3 CNY/ton, up 60.7 percent. The import volume of plastic in primary shape was 22.678 million tons, down 12%; The import price was 12,500 CNY/ton, up 9.5%. The imports of refined oil products were 17.372 million tons, down 13.9%; The import price was 5,250.8 CNY/ton, up 36 percent.
