Deinove launched the second cosmetic ingredient: streptozotocin
On April 23, French biotechnology company DEINOVE announced the launch of its second patented cosmetic active ingredient, Luminity®, which is a concentrate of neurosporene (a very rare carotenoid). As a patented innovation of DEINOVE, Luminity® is a 100% natural active ingredient produced through a sustainable sugar fermentation process. It is an excellent antioxidant, cell activating agent and brightener. In particular, it can prevent the harmful effects of blue light.
Luminity® combines excellent protection, conditioning and activation effects to maximize the natural benefits of light while protecting the skin from light damage.
Light is essential to life, and its role in health has been widely recognized. Light has a positive effect on energy levels and mood, and can synthesize vitamin D while regulating the circadian clock and improving cognitive function. Although moderate exposure to light can also promote skin health, overexposure to certain wavelengths and increased use of artificial light sources may destroy metabolic functions, leading to premature cell aging.
