Deinove launched the second cosmetic ingredient: streptozotocin
On April 23, French biotechnology company DEINOVE announced the launch of its second patented cosmetic active ingredient, Luminity®, which is a concentrate of neurosporene (a very rare carotenoid). As a patented innovation of DEINOVE, Luminity® is a 100% natural active ingredient produced through a sustainable sugar fermentation process. It is an excellent antioxidant, cell activating agent and brightener. In particular, it can prevent the harmful effects of blue light.
Luminity® combines excellent protection, conditioning and activation effects to maximize the natural benefits of light while protecting the skin from light damage.
Light is essential to life, and its role in health has been widely recognized. Light has a positive effect on energy levels and mood, and can synthesize vitamin D while regulating the circadian clock and improving cognitive function. Although moderate exposure to light can also promote skin health, overexposure to certain wavelengths and increased use of artificial light sources may destroy metabolic functions, leading to premature cell aging. The negative effects of ultraviolet radiation have long been known. In recent years, people have shifted their focus to Blu-ray. Blue light is at the edge of the visible light spectrum and has a higher wavelength than ultraviolet light, so it can further penetrate the skin, causing hidden damage to the epidermis, especially causing dark spots.
In the field of anti-aging, how to help the skin stay bright is becoming a hot topic. In this context, Luminity® provides an active solution to the light, which can achieve both protection and activation. Luminity® can regulate the skin's response to light through various mechanisms, maintain and resynchronize the circadian clock, and improve metabolic flexibility. There are three specific mechanisms: First, by protecting cellular components (especially mitochondria) that are essential for energy production, Luminity® can stimulate energy metabolism, thereby rejuvenating the skin and reducing fatigue signs such as dark circles. Second, by inhibiting the synthesis and transportation of melanin, Luminity® can improve gloss, improve skin tone, and help reduce dark spots. Third, through its absorption properties and activation of cell metabolism, reducing melanin production and deposition, Luminity® can protect skin cells against blue light radiation of specific wavelengths and prevent redness.
These characteristics allow Luminity® to be used in a variety of cosmetics: skin lightening cream, anti-aging / blemishing cream, revitalizing / rejuvenating cream (for dull and tired skin), day protection cream, BB (concealer) cream and CC (Quhong) cream, and beauty sleep mask, etc.
