Park launches new cured epoxy resin system

ECHEMI 2020-05-28

Recently, Park Aerospace has launched a new E-752-MTS medium toughness 350 ° F cured epoxy resin system. E-752-MTS is Park's next-generation 350 ° F cured epoxy system and a new member of the E-752 product family. E-752-MTS is suitable for primary and secondary aircraft structure applications, such as wing and tail structure, control surface, fuselage and engine nacelle.

In order to provide processing flexibility and enter a broader market, E-752-MTS can be cured using an autoclave, high temperature autoclave or pressure curing process. The resin system is designed for manual net laying and can be optimized for some automated processes including automated fiber placement (AFP). The next-generation Park resin system can be used with a variety of aviation-grade reinforcement materials, including standard and medium modulus carbon fiber fabrics and unidirectional belts.

Park Aerospace specializes in the development and manufacture of solutions and advanced hot-melt composite materials for composite structures in the global aviation market. Park's advanced composite materials include film adhesives (certified) and lightning strike materials. Park offers a range of composite materials specifically designed for manual web laying or automatic fiber placement (AFP) manufacturing applications.

Park's advanced composite materials are used to produce primary and secondary structures for jet engines, large and regional transport aircraft, military aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), business jets, general aviation aircraft, and rotorcraft. Park also provides special ablation materials for rocket engines and nozzles, as well as special design materials for radomes. As a complement to Park's advanced composite products, Park designs and manufactures composite parts, structural parts, components and small batch tools for the aerospace industry.

Park's composite parts and structures (including Park's proprietary SigmaStrut and AlphaStrut composite product lines) target markets are prototypes, special mission aircraft, military and civilian aircraft spare parts, and exotic spacecraft.
