Bacteria may exceed the standard! Unilever's brand announces discontinuation of use
On the evening of the 18th, THE LAUNDRESS Unilever issued a product safety reminder on the social platform, which pointed out that some THE LAUNDRESS products had a potential risk of microbial contamination.
Logging in to The Laundress official website, I also found the same safety warning content, suggesting that users stop using the brand's entire line of products immediately.
The Laundress said that while no adverse health effects related to this issue have been identified, the brand has determined that there may be high levels of bacteria in some of The Laundress's products, which poses a safety concern.

It can be seen from the announcement that the name and batch number of the product involved have not yet been announced. However, at the flagship stores of The Laundress brand on Tmall, JD.com and WeChat mini-programs, all related laundry products have been removed from the shelves, and only the stain remover soap and fragrance spray are still on sale.
Founded in 2004, The Laundress is a globally influential supplier of laundry products. The founders, Gwen Whiting and Lindsey Boyd, are from the American designer brand Ralph Lauren and the French luxury brand Chanel respectively.
The Laundress is positioned as high-end, natural and environmentally friendly, and provides washing products for consumers who need to be carefully washed and cared for. The products include laundry detergent baby care products/fabric softener/wrinkle spray, etc., known as "Hermes in laundry detergent".
In 2019, The Laundress was acquired by Unilever. Kees Kruythoff, president of Unilever's home care business, once said that The Laundress is an important supplement to Unilever's home care category. It has its own dedicated retail stores, direct sales and e-commerce channels, coupled with the advantages of Unilever's global sales network, will help the brand reach more consumers around the world.
In August of this year, The Laundress also launched a limited-edition customized version of "Yihe Jingui" laundry detergent co-branded with Guanxia. Many products of The Laundress are also deeply loved by consumers in the Chinese market.
As soon as the consumption warning came out, many consumers complained, "It's so expensive and you overturned the car, right?", "If you are still using The laundress, stop using it quickly!! After all, it was a wrong payment", "This brand has exceeded the standard of bacteria. I really didn't expect it, it's outrageous." A little disappointed.
At present, the brand official has not yet confirmed the specific batches involved and the after-sales processing method.
