The United States exempts residue limits for 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid

According to the Federal Register, on November 23, 2022, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued Regulation 2022-25582, exempting the residue limit of 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid.

 
According to the regulations, 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid is exempted from the residue limit when it is used as an inert ingredient in antimicrobial pesticide formulations on food contact surfaces in public catering establishments, dairy processing equipment and food processing equipment and utensils, and in pesticide formulations applied to crops before and after harvest, and the final use concentration does not exceed 2 ppm.
 
This rule is effective as of November 23, 2022, and requests for objections or hearings must be filed by January 23, 2023.
