The European Union approved beta-lactoglobulin as a new food product
According to the official Journal of the European Union, on December 22, 2022, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 202/2534, which authorises the placing of β-lactoglobulin on the market as a novel food in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council. And to amend the annex to the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470.
These regulations shall take effect twenty (20) days from the date of promulgation.
