The environmental assessment of 7,000t/a chlorocarbonic ester intermediates expansion project of Wynca was publicized

Recently, the environmental assessment of the 7,000t/a chlorocarbonic ester intermediates expansion project of Wynca was publicized. In order to make full use of the existing phosgene resources and solve the problem of enterprise’s sustainable operation, Ningxia Wynca proposed to implement the construction project of adding 7,000 t/a of Chloroformate series products through multiple investigations and combined with the development status of the enterprise. The main products include six products: Ethyl chloroformate, Isooctyl chloroformate, Propyl chloroformate, Isopropyl Chlorocarbonate, Allyl chloroformate and Benzyl Chloroformate. 

By enriching the structure of phosgene series products and increasing the production capacity of phosgene series products, the project will create an economic foundation for Ningxia Wynca to become the group's subsequent agrochemical development base.

Ningxia Wynca, is located in Pingluo Industrial Park, Ningxia, formerly called Ningxia Sanxi which was established in 2006. In 2010, the company was restructured into the holding subsidiary of Zhejiang Wynca, and renamed as "Ningxia Wynca", mainly engaged in phosgene series products. The existing plant has a production capacity of 10,000t/a phosgene (all for self-use), 4,000t/a Diuron, 5,000t/a Carbendazim, 10,000t/a Methyl chloroformate and 2,000t/a Chloromethyl carbonochloridate. Among the above devices, due to the influence of the chemical industry market in recent years, Carbendazim device has been discontinued since 2016, and Chloromethyl carbonochloridate device has not been started since its construction. Currently, the stable operating devices are only 10,000t/a phosgene, 4,000t/a Diuron and 10,000t/a Methyl chloroformate.
