Lanxess Announces Changes In Supervisory Board

Chemical Weekly 2018-03-30

Lanxess has announced changes in its Supervisory Board. The Board’s current Chairman, Dr. Rolf Stomberg (77) will resign from his office as a member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board after the end of the Annual Stockholders’ Meeting on May 15, 2018.

“When I was re-elected to the Supervisory Board in 2015, I announced support for the realignment of Lanxess, but that I would not hold office the entire term. Now the company is doing well and is back on track for growth – it is the right time to leave the Chair of the Supervisory Board to someone new,” said Dr. Stomberg.

Dr. Stomberg has recommended Dr. Matthias Wolfgruber (64) to succeed him for the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Dr. Wolfgruber has a doctorate in chemistry, served as Chairman of the Board of Management of Altana, and has belonged to the supervisory body as a representative for stockholders since 2015.

Ms. Pamela Knapp (60) is expected to be promoted as a new member to the Supervisory Board. She graduated in Economics and most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for GfK SE, the listed market research company based in Nuremberg, Germany.
