LANXESS expands North American industrial preservatives distribution partnership
LANXESS' Materials Protection Products (MPP) business unit has expanded its distribution partnerships for industrial preservatives in North America with Lintech International, Omya Specialty Minerals and DKSH. Following LANXESS's acquisition of the IFF microbial control business in July 2022, these agreements expand the distributor's product portfolio into the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) and other construction materials markets. All three distributors now represent LANXESS's complete industrial preservatives portfolio for these markets as of January 1st.
Former IFF microbial control distributors Lintech International and Omya Specialty Minerals will add LANXESS flagship brands such as Preventol to their portfolio, which already includes well-known brands such as KATHON. Lintech will cover the southeastern United States up to New England, and Omya will serve the Midwest.
DKSH, doing business as Terra Firma in the United States, previously distributed LANXESS industrial preservatives in the western United States and will now add the acquired IFF microbial control products to its product portfolio. They will also expand their territory into Canada.
Bill Rohrer, head of US sales for LANXESS Material Protection Products (MPP), said:"As the integration of IFF's Microbial Control business progresses, we are pleased to expand our distribution network with these dedicated partners to cover our full range of industrial preservatives business lines. The new additions will enable them to successfully provide more comprehensive solutions to meet their customers' industrial protection needs."
LANXESS's industrial preservatives portfolio includes a broad range of biocidal active ingredients and mixtures under the brand names Preventol, Metasol, KATHON, ROCIMA, BIOBAN, ROZONE, AMICAL and KORDEK.
