Sulichem’s 98% Boscalid got registered in Brazil

At the beginning of 2023, the second SDHI (Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor) fungicide of Sulichem (BOSCALID TECNICO BAILLY 98%) was registered in Brazil.

Bailly, a subsidiary of Sulichem, holds the registration of the technical of Boscalid in China. Its subsidiary Jiangyin Sulichem holds the registration of several single and mixed products. The domestic promotion and sales include 500 g/l Boscalid SC (trade name: Firstar), 50% Boscalid DF (trade name: Firstar), 43% Boscalid and Iprodione SC (Trade name: Shigui) and 27% Boscalid and Azoxystrobin SC(trade name: Shicheng), mainly registered for grape, strawberry, mango, bitter melon, rape, tomato, mulberry and other crops of powdery mildew, sclerotium disease, gray mold prevention and control.

It is reported that Sulichem has obtained 4 self-owned technical registration in Brazil, and a number of self-produced technicals are in line for registration. Sulichem will actively support its Brazilian market partners in the formulation registration of Boscalid.

It is mainly used in cash crops and has significant control effect on bovines, beans, melons, tomatoes, strawberries, eggplant, lettuce and other bovines, on sclerotium disease of rape, legumes, melons, tomatoes, lettuce, onions and radishes and on powdery mildew of melons and streptospora of melons, tomatoes, apples, onions and radishes. After spraying, the drug has a long duration and a long spraying interval.

Gray mold and sclerotium disease are mostly occurring in low temperature and humid environment, and generally need to spray different characteristics and have good rain resistance agents for prevention and control.

 In the case of more serious disease, the use of Boscalid can still be effective and durable control of gray mold, sclerotium disease and other diseases. This is mainly because low concentration of mycelium can effectively hinder mycelium growth and spore formation with herapeutic effect; At the same time, it can also inhibit spore germination, bud tube elongation and attachment formation, so it has a better preventive effect to prevent secondary infection after the onset of the disease.
