Nippon Paint China's revenue in the first half of 2020 fell 11.6%
On August 14, Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. released its financial performance report for the second quarter and first half of 2020. In the first half of this year, sales revenue was 345.44 billion yen (approximately US$3.1926 billion), a year-on-year increase of 10.6%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 16.89 billion yen, a year-on-year decrease of 19.3%. According to the financial report, Nippon Paint achieved sales of 182.5 billion yen (approximately US$1.6867 billion) in the second quarter of 2020, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%; net profit was 9.4 billion yen, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%. Nippon Paint said that in the short term, sales revenue achieved a year-on-year increase of 10.6%, partly due to the impact of the acquisition.
