Recently, the Office of the State Council Security Committee and the Emergency Management Department mobilized and deployed the second round of special inspections of explosive chemicals such as ammonium nitrate.

It was learned from the Emergency Management Department that recently, the State Council Security Committee Office and the Emergency Management Department held a video dispatch meeting for ammonium nitrate production enterprises and port yards for major risk investigation work to mobilize and deploy the second round of special inspections for explosive chemicals such as ammonium nitrate. The second round of special inspections will fully cover the major risks and hidden dangers of ammonium nitrate production enterprises and explosive key control chemical port storage yards, and formulate plans one by one according to the principle of "one enterprise, one policy", forming two lists of hidden risks and policy measures. The implementation is promoted by the local government. The Working Group of the Office of the State Council’s Security Committee will "look back" on the management of major hidden dangers discovered during the first round of special inspections.

From August 7 to 17, during the first round of special inspections, a total of 3,048 inspection teams and 10,146 people (times) were dispatched across the country to investigate 8,895 related companies, and 22,295 hidden dangers were found, including 59 major hidden dangers. Production was suspended and business operations were suspended for rectification. There are 42 enterprises and the local government is asked to close 4 enterprises. The inspection found that the safety of ammonium nitrate existed in some enterprises. The storage volume of some enterprises was obviously too large, the design standards of ammonium nitrate warehouses were not high, the hazardous characteristics of ammonium nitrate packaging were not standardized and incomplete, the transportation links of ammonium nitrate were not standardized and unblocked, and the management of ammonium nitrate storage sites Major issues such as inconsistent standards.
