Syngenta expands capacity in Brazil

ECHEMI 2023-01-30

Recently, Syngenta Plant Protection announced the acquisition of the subsidiary of Brazil's Ultrafine in Indayatoba. This acquisition is part of Syngenta's large investment plan in Brazil, which includes the expansion of Syngenta's existing department in Polynesia, Sao Paulo, which will help expand Syngenta's local production capacity and create new jobs.

Juan Pablo Llobet, president of Syngenta Plant Protection in Latin America, said: "We are excited about this investment, which will provide support for Brazilian agriculture. This is an important step to ensure the supply required by growers, and also a way for us to bring more product innovation to Brazil. We will continue to invest in Brazilian agriculture, and will create wealth value and promote economic growth in Brazil in a sustainable way."

In addition to this acquisition, Syngenta will continue to develop specific preparations with other selected strategic partners. The expansion plan in Polynesia and Indayatoba will also advocate sustainable development strategies, such as the use of solar panels, offices and administrative areas for natural lighting, rainwater reuse and the use of sustainable building technologies.
