Pilot production of new polypropylene products at Luoyang Petrochemical
On September 9, Sinopec produced PPH-YJ40X, a special polypropylene resin for antibacterial and low odor spunbond nonwovens, for the first time.
Since the outbreak of the Xinguan epidemic, Sinopec has proposed to further enhance the production capacity of high-end medical raw materials and dressings around the epidemic. The Y35X produced by Luoyang Petrochemical is used for medical masks and surgical gowns, which has made a due contribution to the fight against the epidemic, but the product cannot be used in antibacterial and anti-virus medical fields.
However, the product cannot be used in medical fields such as antibacterial and anti-viral applications. In order to enhance the strength in fighting epidemics and increase the efficiency of the company, Loyang Petrochemical Company and Beihang Chemical Institute jointly developed PPH-YJ40X, a special polypropylene resin for spunbond nonwoven fabrics with antibacterial and low odor.
On September 9, the company's 2# polypropylene unit was scaled up for industrial production, with the focus on the operational stability of the pelletizing machine.
