New non-animal source chicken protein products are launched
Recently, the American biotechnology company Bond Pet Foods has produced an animal-free and protein-rich product. In order to demonstrate the cooking potential of cultivating chicken protein and its deliciousness on dogs, Bond Pet Foods asked its own cooking and nutrition team to develop a baking recipe using this new ingredient, and then fed the sample Give it to a group of lucky dogs at the company's Boulder headquarters. Once fully developed, Bond Pet Foods' artificially cultivated chicken protein will have the same main nutrients as traditional chicken, including its essential amino acids, and will meet or exceed AAFCO's requirements for dogs and cats. The company will launch its first chicken-based products in 2023.
Pernilla Audibert, co-founder and chief technology officer of Bond Pet Foods, said that preliminary tests on dogs have performed well, and its nutrition, palatability and digestibility will only continue to improve on the road to commercialization. The company's scientific team is also studying the production of other cultured meat proteins through similar fermentation processes. The company will also take this opportunity to create a complete animal protein portfolio for pets and other animals.

Last May, Bond Pet Foods launched the first dog food bar with protein, made from pure nutritional yeast protein. Although not of animal origin, the yeast protein in the formula is produced through similar fermentation techniques and provides high-quality nutritional supplements.
