China Mar Coking Coal Imports Jump 38% on Month to 4.02 mil mt
China's coking coal imports jumped 38.04% month on month, but slid 37.49% year on year to 4.02 million mt in March, customs data released Wednesday showed.
Imports from Australia fell 8.66% on the month and 58.68% on the year to 1.34 million mt in March, and volumes from Mongolia surged 132.45% on the month and slipped 5.7% on the year to 2.26 million mt.
China's year-to-date coking coal imports totaled 11.98 million mt, down 29.88% year on year.
