Sinopec Maoming Company Exported Bitumen to Australia

In mid-April, a JASTELLA bitumen boat carrying 4,464.43mt of No.50 road bitumen was straightly sent to Australia. This was the first time that Sinopec Maoming Company exported No.50 bitumen to Australia. Moreover, Sinopec Maoming Company exported bitumen products to Australia for the first time.

In recent years, the bitumen products at Sinopec Maoming Company are increasingly favored by the foreign market participants because of the quality advantages. The traditional market is Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries, and the export products are mostly No.70 road bitumen. In February 2018, No.50 road bitumen products successfully entered the Indian market. In April, the bitumen products at Sinopec Maoming Company crossed the Pacific Ocean for the first time and went to Australia, indicating that Sinopec’s “Donghai” bitumen products had already owned international competitiveness.

According to sources, the export volume of bitumen at Sinopec Maoming Company will reach 30kt, which is the highest in the history. By then, it will impose a strong reputation for Sinopec Maoming Company's “Bitumen King”.
