China's consumer prices rise 1.7% year-on-year in September
China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in an Oct. 15 release that in September 2020, consumer prices nationwide rose 1.7 percent year-on-year. Among them, urban rose 1.6 percent, rural rose 2.1 percent; food prices rose 7.9 percent, non-food prices were unchanged; consumer prices rose 2.6 percent, service prices rose 0.2 percent.
In September, the national consumer prices rose 0.2%. Among them, urban prices rose 0.2%, rural prices rose 0.2%; food prices rose 0.4%, non-food prices rose 0.2%; consumer prices rose 0.2%, service prices rose 0.3%.
From January to September, national consumer prices rose 3.3 percent over the same period last year.
