Ex-factory prices of chemical raw materials and products in China fell 6.8%
Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on October 15 showed that in September, China's industrial producer ex-factory prices fell 2.1 percent year-on-year, up 0.1 percent from the previous month; industrial producer purchase prices fell 2.3 percent year-on-year, up 0.4 percent from the previous month.
From the chain, 40 industrial industry categories, prices rose 15, 2 less than last month; decreased 19, an increase of 1; flat 6, an increase of 1. Due to changes in international crude oil prices, prices in oil-related industries changed from up to down, with prices in the oil and gas extraction industry falling by 2.3 percent and prices in the oil, coal and other fuel processing industry falling by 0.5 percent. Among other major industries, the prices of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 0.9 percent and coal mining and washing industry increased by 0.3 percent.
On a year-over-year basis, among the major industries, prices declined by 7.5 percent in coal mining and washing and by 6.9 percent in chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing. Price declines expanded in oil and gas extraction, down 26.2%, expanding by 1.0 percentage points; oil, coal and other fuel processing industry, down 16.9%, expanding by 0.2 percentage points.
On average in January-September, the ex-factory prices of industrial producers fell 2.0% from a year earlier, and the purchase prices of industrial producers fell 2.6%. Among them, the ex-factory prices of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry fell by 6.8%.
