BASF develops natural anti-inflammatory ingredients, extracted from rice protein
Recently, BASF launched PeptAlde™ 4.0, an active ingredient derived from organic rice protein, which provides a natural and safe solution for hair and skin damage caused by asymptomatic inflammation.
Using fast and efficient AI technology, BASF successfully screened plant-derived peptides that help prevent the release of inflammatory mediators (such as the pro-inflammatory factor TNFa). It is extracted from organic rice protein through a controlled enzymatic hydrolysis process. Studies have shown that PeptAlde™ 4.0 can prevent skin dryness, sagging and discomfort, while soothing sensitive scalp prone to dandruff.
Soothes the scalp and tightens the skin
Clinical studies have shown that PeptAlde 4.0 has a positive effect on skin and hair.
For female subjects with dry and itchy skin on their legs, the moisturizing effect increased by 33% after one week of use. 92% of the participants said that after a month of use, their skin felt soothed, smooth and nourished.
In another study, female subjects applied leave-in body milk to their abdomen twice a day for 28 days. After two weeks, skin firmness increased by 27%. In addition, 79% of the subjects stated that their skin became more flexible. 82% of the subjects indicated an increase in comfort after four weeks of use.
In clinical trials for hair and scalp, male and female subjects with sensitive or itchy scalp after three weeks of continuous use, the redness of the scalp was significantly reduced by 9%, and the pH of the scalp was reduced by 0.4 units (equivalent to sensitive And non-sensitive scalp), and does not affect sebum levels.
