32 companies receive electronic codes for banning plastic alternatives in Hainan

Currently, there are 32 enterprises in China with the ability to supply film bags and tableware products that have been issued electronic surveillance codes for banned plastic substitutes in Hainan Province.


The code is equivalent to the "ID card" of the plastic ban alternative products. According to Hainan Province's antiplastic regulations, enterprises producing and selling antiplastic alternatives in Hainan Province are required to fill in product and enterprise related information on the antiplastic work management information platform, apply for and obtain an electronic surveillance code, and then generate a corresponding two-dimensional code to be printed on the packaging of the alternative. Consumers can use their mobile phones to scan the QR code to identify and understand the alternatives when they purchase the banned plastic substitutes that have been issued with the electronic supervisory code. This provides convenience for market supervision, quality supervision and sampling and product traceability of all biodegradable plastic products.

It is understood that Hainan Province has set up and operated a management information platform for the ban on plastic work, with the aim of incorporating into the management enterprises of fully biodegradable plastic products entering the Hainan market and realizing the traceability of the whole process, in order to promote the informationization of market supervision and law enforcement.
