Eu reevaluates risks to public health from bisphenol A

On 19 April 2023, the EU Group on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes and Processing AIDS (CEP) reassessed the public health risks of bisphenol A (BPA), according to the EU Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

After an assessment, the panel concluded that dietary exposure to BPA poses a health concern. Some of the original reports are as follows:

In 2015, EFSA established a temporary tolerable daily intake (t-TDI) for BPA of 4 μg/kg body weight (bw) per day.
