As one of the 300 "Yao-GUANG LABS" built by Chery in the field of forward-looking technology, the lab is expected to greatly enhance Chery's ability to create color personalization in the interior and exterior of automobiles.
Chery -PPG Digital Color Lab as the world's first laboratory jointly established by an automobile manufacturer and a coating supplier, The main functions include global popular color trend research and analysis, Chinese automotive consumer color preference research, body and parts appearance color design, vehicle rendering and digital color review, new color data extraction, coating process performance verification, subjective and objective evaluation and standard acceptance and other technical aspects.
The joint lab will give full play to the advantages of both sides and realize the rapid development and iteration of automobile colors. It is expected to launch more than 100 new colors for Chery every year, covering the color development needs of 30 models. The related technology of Chery -PPG digital color Lab, such as personalized limited color products, has been applied to the mass production models of Chery Group brands, which will help Chery to create a unique brand color DNA and expand into the global market.
The continuous breakthrough of color technology is that "Technology Chery" adheres to the trend of digitalization, intelligence and differentiation in the automotive market, and takes users as the center to carry out technological innovation and provide users with experiences beyond expectations. According to Chery's "Yaoguang 2025" forward-looking technology strategy, Chery will build 300 "Yaoguang laboratories" in four core areas, including Mars architecture, Kunpeng Power, Xiongshi technology and Galaxy Ecology, and around 15 core technologies, including platform architecture, tri-power, intelligent driving and intelligent cloud platform, to support cross-science and cross-boundary technology research.
