Explosion at a Chemical Plant in Guixi City, Jiangxi Province
According to reports, an explosion occurred at Jiangxi Qiantai New Materials Co., Ltd., located in Guixi City, Jiangxi Province on July 1st, at noon. The explosion was triggered by a fire caused by silicone oil, and there have been no reports of casualties.
Jiangxi Qiantai New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 2019 and is situated in the sulfur and phosphorus chemical industry base in Guixi City, Jiangxi Province, with a registered capital of 12 million yuan. In 2020, the company raised 150 million yuan in self-financing to establish a "17,000-ton per year organic silicon new material production project." The main products include low viscosity hydrogen-containing silicone oil, D4H, polyether-modified silicone oil, long-chain alkyl silicone oil, and related organic silicone emulsions.
