Bioprime Agrisolutions builds the largest repository of plant-related microorganisms in India

Bioprime Agrisolutions, a leading startup in the field of agricultural biotechnology, has launched Bionexus microbiome, the first and largest plant-related microbiome in India. This pioneering project aims to unlock the potential of microbial communities in plants. The launch of the Bionexus microbiome is the fulfillment of Bioprime Agrisolutions' commitment to leading the way in cutting-edge research and development in the field of agricultural biotechnology.  Each plant is a complex ecosystem made up of multiple microorganisms that interact and influence the plant's growth and performance. Bioprime Agrisolutions has thus developed a cutting-edge high-throughput screening technology. This innovative approach will closely examine the physiological and biochemical responses of plants to microorganisms, thus providing valuable clues for further comprehensive plant studies and omics studies.

The Bionexus Microbiome currently houses over 15,000 isolated microorganisms from over 300 sites across India. The microbes collected range from sea level elevation to 16,500 feet, from pH 5 to 11, from rainfall of 210 mm to 11,430 mm, and from -8 ° C to 70 ° C; It covers a wide range of habitats, such as grasslands, rainforests, lakes, caves, deserts, glaciers, river basins, magma and sulfur springs, and mines.

This extensive database of microbial diversity will provide researchers and scientists with unprecedented insights into India's unique microbial ecology, which is particularly important in the face of climate change and the urgent need for sustainable agriculture. As a result, more than 2,000 new microorganisms with higher activity have been discovered.
