Syngenta's Ascernity® is re-registered for lawn management in California, USA

2023-08-05

Syngenta's Ascernity® a combination of SOLATENOL® technology (an advanced succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor for golf course turf, Benzovindiflupyr) and Difenoconazole (a mature cooling demethylation inhibitor), was recently re-registered in California, USA. Used on golf courses in California. Ascernity can be used in a rotation plan to better protect against several major diseases of cold and warm season lawns, and is not limited by high temperatures.

The advantages of Ascernity are:

It has excellent control effect on anthracnose, dry wilt, summer spot, brown spot, gray spot, snow mold, currency spot and other diseases, in addition, it can inhibit the rapid blight under the 2(ee) label.

As the cornerstone of the GreenTrust® 365 sheath blight control program, the effectiveness is long-lasting.

Not limited by high temperatures, even in the summer when disease pressure is high, it can improve the safety of the lawn.

There is no unwanted plant growth regulation, plant poisoning, or turf thinning.

Ron Townsend, Syngenta Technical Services manager, said: "Ascernity's re-registration provides California golf course managers with a broad spectrum fungicide for more than 20 diseases, providing a powerful tool for both cold and warm season turf disease control programs." In particular, it is effective in the prevention and treatment of sheath blight, brown spot and coin spot in California.

In addition, to enable resistance management and whole-season control, Syngenta's technical services team has developed a prescriptic agronomic program that strategically rotates Ascernity with other trusted products.
