Repsol and Imecar create a bioethanol joint venture

According to news from Dow Jones on February 12, Repsol of Spain said on Thursday that the company has established a new company through its private equity investment fund Repsol Corporate ventures and Imecal SA in cooperation to convert municipal solid waste into Bioethanol.

 

Repsol said that the joint venture called Perseo Biotechnology will improve waste management and use bioethanol obtained from municipal waste as a low-carbon fuel. Repsol will retain a 25% stake in the new joint venture.
