Dhanuka Agritech and Nissanchem cooperate to develop and launch a new herbicide Tizom (Halosulfuron methyl + Metribuzin)
Recently, Dhanuka Agritech Limited, an Indian agrochemical company, announced the launch of a new herbicide, Tizom (Halosulfuron methyl + Metribuzin).
Tizom was developed by Dhanuka Agritech and Nissanchem, and combined with two active ingredients, Halosulfuron methyl 6% and Metribuzin 50% WG, Tizom can effectively control narrow-leaf weeds, broadleaf weeds and sedges, and is used by sugarcane growers to control weeds in sugarcane crops and improve sugarcane planting income on farms.
One of the main advantages of Tizzy is that it can lock and kill weeds without threatening the sugarcane crop, and control weeds for a long time to ensure that the sugarcane field is free of weeds for a long time.
Rahul Dhanuka, joint managing Director of Dhanuka Agritech, said Tizom will further enhance its sugarcane product portfolio and be of great help to sugarcane growers. Tizom is the 10th product launched by Dhanuka Agritech this fiscal year, following the launch of six biologics, two herbicides and one insecticide. Dhanuka Agritech has an aggressive growth plan for the current financial year, with three to four more products to be launched within six months.
Dhanuka Agritech also said that selectivity is essential to protect sugarcane plants from weeds and ensure optimal crop growth and yield. Tizom will remove a major obstacle for sugarcane growers in India, simplify crop management and increase yields.
Tizom is currently available in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and will be available in other states.
