Albaugh recently announced that its Maxtron™ 4SC herbicide (active ingredient: 42.0% Ethofumesate) has been registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Maxtron™ 4SC can be used for selective control of major weeds in sugar beets, garlic, Onions and other crops, such as annual bitter herbs, thorn vines, and purple and yellow sedges. Maxtron™ 4SC protects sugar beets during germination, emergence, and early seedling growth, and has been shown to control susceptible weeds in sugar beets for up to 10 weeks. It also can be applied on the ground or in the air with excellent processing and storage features.
As a highly anticipated addition to Albaugh's herbicide portfolio, Maxtron™ 4SC will provide growers with a new tool to combat Glyphosate-resistant water flax in Roundup Ready® beets, especially those in the Red River Valley region, according to Albaugh's U.S. Sales Director.
The Maxtron™ 4SC will be available for the 2024 planting season through authorized Albaugh
