Sumitomo plans to set up an technical production base in India and is expected to increase its annual production capacity by 80%

Recently, Sumitomo plans to build a new pesticide plant in western Gujarat, India, and is expected to acquire about 50 acres of land for the production of technical. This is the company's third plant in India and will increase its annual production capacity by 80%.

It is estimated that Sumitomo will invest an initial capital of $35 million for the development of the project, and this amount is expected to increase in the mid to late period as the plant expands, with the facility scheduled for completion in 2027.

Sumitomo is bullish on India's prospects in view of the strong demand for food from India's growing population and has made several investments to secure business growth in India over the past 20 years and will still support future growth.
