LANXESS announces price increase of hexanediol
On March 9, 2021, specialty chemicals company LANXESS announced an increase in the global price of 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) by 800 euros per metric ton. The price adjustment will take effect immediately.
According to data, 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) is a colorless crystalline solid with a melting point of 42°C and a boiling point of 250°C. It is soluble in Water. It is an important chemical raw material and one of many important raw materials for organic synthesis. One. It is also an important precursor for high-performance coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, Polycarbonate diols, and reactive diluents for epoxy resins.
Used in the production of polyurethane, unsaturated polyester, plasticizer, hardener of gelling agent, thermal stability modifier of lubricating oil, etc. It is also used in the production of pesticides PYRETHRINS, organic peroxides, cyclic musk, polyethylene plastic crosslinking agent and polyether rubber.
