Frederic Jacquin, Senior Vice President of Elkem’s Silicone Business, said: “We are seeing signs that global industrial activity is accelerating during the Covid-19 crisis. The global demand trend of the silicone industry has reappeared as an early indicator of economic recovery. And it is expected that this demand will continue or even accelerate in the next few years. We expect that under the environment of regulatory changes, the total demand will exceed today's supply. Elkem is committed to investing in safe and sustainable silicone production. , To ensure the safety of supply, service and innovation. As one of the world's leading fully integrated silicone manufacturers, Elkem will continue to provide our customers with reliable long-term long-term partners for specialty silicone products."
Then, Jacquin added: “In order to continue to bring value to customers and support development that will enhance customer competitiveness, Elkem will implement upward price adjustments. According to Elkem’s commitment to customers, existing contracts will not be affected by these changes. ."
