Sales in India Increased by 65% in 2023! Coty Continues to Expand Presence in India by Joining Forces with House of Beauty
Global beauty group Coty is looking to expand its footprint in India. Strategic plans include the appointment of Rizwan Mulla, formerly of the Chalhoub Group, as India business development director, opening a new store in Mumbai and signing an agreement with distribution and marketing company House of Beauty. The agreement with House of Beauty covers the launch of Coty cosmetics in India.
"There is a growing demand across India for premium cosmetics, best-in-class innovation and immersive marketing campaigns from international beauty brands," commented Shriti Malhotra, Group CEO, Quest Retail - House of Beauty.
To commemorate this cooperation, the two parties held a signing ceremony in Mumbai.
"Over the past five years, we have witnessed the rapid rise of beauty products in India, and now India has become one of Coty's key long-term growth opportunities in Asia. This strategic investment in Coty's India business underscores our confidence in India's huge beauty market. " said Kristina Strunz, managing director of Coty Southeast Asia and India.
Coty's sales in India grew 65% in fiscal 2023 through well-known brands such as Gucci Beauty, Burberry Beauty, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein and Davidoff fragrances, as well as consumer brands such as Rimmel, Max Factor and Adidas. The group believes this growth trajectory will continue in the coming year, supported by a series of new fragrance launches and upcoming brand launches.
