L’Occitane Expands Fragrance Business with Acquisition of Dr. Vranjes Firenze
L’Occitane Group expands its product portfolio with the acquisition of Italian luxury home fragrance brand Dr. Vranjes Firenze.
Founded in 1983 by Paolo Vranjes, the Tuscan brand Dr. Vranjes Firenze sells its products in more than 75 countries through a strong network of 28 single-brand stores and 650 points of sale. Dr. Vranjes has been at the forefront of luxury home fragrance for over 40 years, focusing on in-house production and research and development. The brand delivers a "Made in Florence" experience through its range of home diffusers, candles and personal fragrances, which form an integral part of its product portfolio.
With this business, for an undisclosed amount, L'Occitane Group intends to continue building a "strong geographically balanced portfolio of premium beauty and fragrance brands".
L'Occitane Group Chairman Reinold Geiger said, with the addition of Dr. Vranjes Firenze, the company is pleased to continue to expand its global brand portfolio, which complements the company's existing range of premium beauty and fragrance brands. Each brand has a strong personality and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Paolo Vranjes, founder and chairman of Dr. Vranjes Firenze, said his company’s brand has undergone meaningful development while paying tribute to the rich legacy of Dr. Vranjes Firenze. and is extremely proud to hand over the legacy of Dr. Vranjes Firenze to the L’Occitane Group, renowned for its tradition of excellence and broad global reach.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
