Birla Carbon Plans to Build Two New Carbon Black Production Bases in India and Thailand
Birla Carbon announced that it will establish two new carbon black production bases in Naidupet, Andhra Pradesh, India, and Rayong, Thailand.
John Loudermilk, President and CEO of Birla Carbon, said, "We are pleased to begin our expansion plans to support key customers in the fast-growing markets of India and Southeast Asia. These two new state-of-the-art facilities will ensure a secure supply of our industry-leading products, quality and service, enabling our customers to achieve their growth objectives. "
It is reported that the two factories are planned to be put into operation in 2025, with an initial production capacity of 120,000 tons/year, and plans to expand to 240,000 tons/year in the future. The two new sites will be prioritized based on their location, demand dynamics in the region and specific customer needs.
Birla Carbon has a complete carbon black product portfolio, ranging from ASTM to specialty carbon blacks, to meet the end needs of the global rubber, plastics, coatings, inks and other practical application industries. The company's products include three series: BIRLA CARBONTM high-performance rubber carbon black, RAVEN® pigment carbon black and CONDUCTEX® conductive carbon black. Among them, the company’s RAVEN® and CONDUCTEX® specialty carbon blacks meet the various needs of the plastics, ink and coating markets, providing the required color, conductivity, viscosity and UV protection functions for a wide range of applications.
