Dharmaj Crop Guard (India) opens new plant and moves into manufacturing of pesticide technicals and intermediates
Dharmaj Crop Guard Limited recently opened a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Sayakha GIDC, Gujarat, India, which has now been successfully commissioned. This facility marks an important step for the company into the field of technical and intermediate manufacturing. The plant began commercial production on January 22, 2024 and is designed to meet regulatory standards for export markets. The plant has four blocks and can produce multiple products at the same time.
In addition to the production block, the facility has a dedicated R&D center and quality control laboratory, demonstrating Dharmaj's emphasis on innovation, quality assurance and manufacturing excellence.
Rameshbhai Talavia, Chairman and managing director of the company, said that the commissioning of this plant is one of the main objectives of the company's initial public offering in December 2022. The company has achieved this important milestone with efficient execution and dedication in just over a year since going public, through a careful mix of initial public offering (IPO) proceeds, internal accumulation and debt.
This new facility will not only improve the company's consolidated profitability and strengthen the existing formulation business, also create new opportunities in the domestic and export markets. With this plant, the company hopes to expand into new areas such as public and animal health, and despite the current difficulties in the export market, Dharmaj remains confident about the opportunities in the Indian pesticide industry. The company is strategically positioning itself to capture these opportunities in the coming years and is committed to delivering sustainable growth and value to all stakeholders.
