DOMO Chemicals inaugurates €14 million Technyl polyamide production plant in China
DOMO Chemicals, a global leader in engineered materials, is proud to open its newest facility in Haiyan, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, China. This important milestone strengthens DOMO’s determination to meet the growing demand in the Chinese market for its smart solutions based on TECHNYL polyamide.
The €14 million investment means DOMO's commitment to the Chinese market could double, with the new plant able to increase production capacity from the current 25,000 tons of Technyl polyamide to 35,000 tonnes and ultimately 50,000 tons in the long term.
The 40,000-square-meter state-of-the-art facility demonstrates DOMO's unwavering commitment to providing high-quality products and services to customers in key sectors including automotive, electronics, energy, industrial and consumer goods.
Yves Bonte, CEO of DOMO Chemicals, emphasized the company's commitment to customer-centric innovation:"Our strong commitment to staying close to our customers both geographically and through innovative products is at the core of DOMO's success. This investment is also enabling the design of polyamide solutions that contribute to a sustainable global mission for the planet and people."
DOMO Chemicals has experienced strong growth in China since 2016, with a series of capacity expansions at its Jiaxing site. With annual sales growing at 20%, the latest expansion has broken ground on a new Haiyan factory.
Operations Manager Denny Meng points to DOMO's deep and loyal customer base in China: "We have built strong relationships with local Chinese and global customers. This move is in line with DOMO's commitment to innovation and customer centricity as we seek to establish an Asia-Pacific application development center to strengthen our presence in emerging industries and markets in Asia. We are committed to quality and continue to emphasize safe and responsible employment."
