Domo Chemicals opens polyamide production plant in China
Polyamide (PA) producer Domo Chemicals, headquartered in Leuna, Germany, has opened its newest plant in Haiyan, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, China.
Domo said the new 40,000 square meter plant, in which it has invested 14 million euros, will be able to increase its current production capacity for Technyl polyamide from 25,000 tons to 35,000 tons and, in the long term, to 50,000 tons. It provides products and services to customers in industries including automotive, electronics, energy, industrial and consumer goods.、
Yves Bonte, CEO of Domo Chemicals commented:"Our strong commitment to staying close to our customers both geographically and through innovative products is at the core of Domo's success. We have strong and growing partnerships in key areas such as electric vehicles and green environmental protection. This investment also serves our global mission to engineer polyamide solutions that make a sustainable and better contribution to the planet and people."
Domo Chemicals said it has experienced strong growth in China since 2016 with a series of capacity expansions at its Jiaxing plant. The latest expansion efforts have led to the breaking of ground on a new factory in Haiyan, as annual sales grow 20%, the company said.
Denny Meng, Operations Manager at Domo Chemicals said:"We have built strong relationships with local Chinese and global customers. This move is in line with Domo’s commitment to innovation and customer focus as we seek to establish an Asia-Pacific application development center to strengthen our presence in new and emerging Asian industries and markets. We are committed to quality and continue to emphasize safe and responsible employment."
