Henkel opens second application center in Vietnam
Henkel, a global leader in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, has opened its second application center in Thanh Hoa Province in northern Vietnam to expand support for leading sports and fashion brands in Asia Pacific and Greater China.
The application center will complement Henkel's existing center in Bien Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, to increase local capabilities, create more opportunities for collaboration and accelerate innovation that impacts customers.
"The opening of the second application center expands our reach from southern to northern Vietnam, which strengthens our proximity to customers and our commitment to providing innovative solutions and strong support as a long-term strategic partner," said Corbett Wallace, Vice President of Henkel Consumer Products Enterprise.
The application center will work closely with Henkel customers to develop new products and solutions to meet customer needs and drive rapid development of sustainability and innovation. To do this, the application center will focus on increasing expertise in bonding technologies, reducing manufacturing time, and customizing customer solutions through technical training and trial opportunities. The application center will also use digital innovation to showcase advanced application solutions, improve efficiency and accessibility, and serve as a center for process design and engineering.
The center covers an area of more than 500 square meters and is equipped with laboratories, application rooms, customer experience rooms, offices and dedicated collaboration rooms. It also provides leading automation facilities such as automatic sprayers and PUR jet spraying solutions to improve production efficiency.
Dharmesh Shah, regional head of consumer products in emerging markets in Asia Pacific, said: "As the industry shifts its focus to manufacturing excellence, we look forward to the opportunities brought by this center and remain committed to driving speed to market, cost efficiency and sustainable growth with our partners."
The application center in Thanh Hoa is the latest addition to Henkel's global sports and fashion laboratory network, which includes laboratories in Greater China, South Korea, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. It will be digitally connected with Henkel's centers around the world to promote cross-border cooperation and sharing of expertise.
