Omega Azul Sets Ambitious Goal to Expand Amberjack Aquaculture in Mexico
According to a report by SeafoodMedia on June 26th, the Mexican amberjack aquaculture company Omega Azul has set a development strategy for the next five years, aiming to increase its annual amberjack production from the current 450 tons to 3,000 tons.
To achieve this goal, the company successfully merged with Amberjack Farm Mexico last year, as the latter also focuses on amberjack aquaculture. Through this merger, Omega Azul has acquired key resources, including offshore assets, land-based production permits, broodstock and hatchery equipment, processing facilities, ultra-low temperature freezers, and a comprehensive amberjack genetic catalog.
