DKSH acquires Euroingredientes to expand Life Sciences presence in Portugal
DKSH announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire Euroingredientes Portugal. The acquisition enables DKSH Performance Materials Portugal to establish a strategic footprint in the food market with a unique portfolio of food ingredients and nutraceuticals.
With the acquisition of Euroingredientes, DKSH Performance Materials gains a reliable supplier with more than 20 years of experience, offering a unique portfolio of food ingredients and nutraceuticals in Portugal.
Founded in 2001, Euroingredientes focuses on providing certified, high-quality ingredients for various sectors of the food industry, such as dairy, beverages, and bread and bakery products. DKSH has acquired the assets of the business and will integrate it into its existing operations.
Isabel Viegas, CEO of Euroingredientes, said: "Through continuous improvement and focus on our suppliers, Euroingredientes has been able to build exceptionally strong supplier relationships over the past 20 years. By partnering with DKSH, we can further strengthen our position and expand our presence in the growing Life Sciences industry."
Thomas Sul and Natale Capri, co-heads of DKSH's High Performance Materials business unit, jointly stated: "We are very pleased to acquire Euroingredientes, which offers a broad range of raw materials for all areas of the food industry and has strong growth prospects in Portugal. We warmly welcome the Euroingredientes team and are excited to continue developing the European business together."
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions.
