MORPHE COSMETICS SOLD TO FORMA BRANDS

ECHEMI 2024-08-12

Morphe Cosmetics has been sold to Forma Brands UK Limited. The sale retains the brand’s online and wholesale operations, ensuring Morphe continues to serve its customer base.

The sale has been confirmed by Mark Blackman and Benjamin Wiles of Kroll, who were appointed as joint administrators on 31 July. Unfortunately, due to unsustainable market conditions and high rent burdens, eight of Morphe’s retail stores, including one in the Netherlands, have been closed with immediate effect. Despite this, parent company Forma Brands LLC has ensured that all affected employees receive an enhanced redundancy compensation package.

The sale and subsequent closure of the physical stores was due to challenging market conditions that made the retail network unviable. By focusing on the online and wholesale businesses, Forma Brands UK Limited aims to retain the core parts of the Morphe brand while addressing the financial challenges posed by the physical store operations.
