Arkema's China Specialty UV/LED/EB Curing Resin Production Base Obtains ISCC Plus Certification

Arkema, a leader in specialty materials, has achieved a new milestone on its sustainable development journey with the ISCC PLUS certification for its Nansha plant in China. The mass balance approach enables the Group to launch a new range of bio-attribute UV/LED/EB curing resins in Asia. It will support the development of more sustainable solutions for fast-growing applications in the local market, such as advanced electronics, new energy, green transportation, living comfort and home efficiency.

This certification expands Sartomer's UV/LED/EB curing resin solutions from renewable and low carbon footprint sources. It offers a new range of bio-attribute resins that enhance existing bio-isolated products with up to 85% biobased content.

Following the ISCC PLUS certification of the Villers-Saint-Paul plant in France in January 2024, Arkema's UV/LED/EB curing resin production base in Nansha, China has also obtained ISCC PLUS certification, which is another step towards completing the global ISCC PLUS certified plant network. This move accelerates Arkema's strategy to gradually launch a full range of bio-attributed specialty resins and additives (such as high solids, waterborne, UV/LED/EB and polyester powders).
