EU Adds Calcidiol Monohydrate to List of Vitamins and Minerals for Supplements
On February 24, 2025, the European Commission announced a significant regulatory update by publishing Regulation (EU) 2025/352, which revises Annex II of Directive (EC) No 2002/46. This update officially includes calcidiol monohydrate in the list of vitamins and minerals permitted for use in food supplements.
This inclusion is crucial for manufacturers and consumers alike, as it expands the range of ingredients available for dietary supplements, potentially enhancing product offerings in the market. The new regulation will take effect twenty days after its publication, marking an important shift in the European food supplement landscape.
