Estée Lauder Companies Enters Groundbreaking Partnership with Startup India
The Estée Lauder Companies has announced that it has partnered with Startup India, an Indian government initiative, in a “first-of-its-kind” deal to strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem and empower the next generation of Indian entrepreneurs.
The partnership, established through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India, underscores ELC’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in India’s rapidly evolving beauty and personal care markets.
It will bring Startup India’s national platform, insights and expertise to ELC’s flagship entrepreneurship program in India, BEAUTY&YOU India, which is dedicated to discovering and driving the next generation of India-centric beauty brands.
“We are honored to be the first global beauty company to partner with Startup India to help reshape the future of beauty by nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs, who have long been the backbone of our industry,” said Stephane de La Faverie, President and CEO of ELC.
“India is a key strategic market for ELC, with a rapidly evolving prestige beauty sector and a vibrant, technology-driven startup ecosystem that is redefining innovation. As a leader in India’s prestige beauty industry, ELC remains steadfast in its commitment to shaping the future of beauty in this dynamic environment.”
