Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has decided to exit the PET bottle business.
The company's PET bottle business offers a range of products that mainly meet various needs related to condiments and alcoholic beverage packaging.
However, the recent sharp rise in raw material and logistics costs has put the profitability of the business under great pressure.
Despite the company's efforts to support the business through means such as reducing fixed costs, after carefully studying the surrounding environment, it has decided to exit the business, citing the dim prospects for future profitability and growth improvements.
