SUQQU Surpasses Sales by 187 Percent with New Eco Compact Powered by Cristal One
Prestige Japanese beauty brand SUQQU is turning heads with a sustainable breakthrough, launching its latest compact setting powder using Eastman’s Cristal™ One copolyester. The innovative material, which replaces traditional ABS plastic, meets high functional standards while preserving luxury aesthetics. The result? A product that not only dazzles on vanities but also aligns with environmental values.
Cristal One, developed by Eastman, is fully recyclable within most municipal systems, thanks to its RIC1-compatible formulation recognized by APR and RecyClass. SUQQU’s new design reflects a clear strategy to stay ahead of evolving packaging regulations, especially under the EU’s PPWR directive.
Launched in February, the sustainable compact quickly became a hit, exceeding monthly sales goals by an astonishing 187%. Consumers are embracing the product’s elegant appearance, durability, and reusability—seeing it not just as makeup, but as a fashionable accessory.
Performance doesn’t suffer for sustainability. The Cristal One packaging demonstrates superior drop impact resistance after secondary processing and offers a sleek, deep black finish that ABS materials failed to deliver. It meets SUQQU’s stringent standards for form, function, and beauty.
Eastman’s Tara Cary highlights a growing demand for eco-friendly luxury: “Consumers want sustainable options without sacrificing elegance. Cristal One delivers both.” SUQQU, a brand known for refinement and authenticity since 2003, is resonating with a new generation of conscious beauty enthusiasts.
This move builds on a long-standing collaboration between SUQQU’s parent company KAO and Eastman, reinforcing a commitment to innovation, design, and environmental responsibility across borders.
