Orafol Invests €160 Million in German Expansion with 10th Plant and High-Efficiency Emission Tech
Orafol Group is making a major move with a €160 million investment in expanding its headquarters in Oranienburg, Germany. The company is building a 14,000-square-meter production hall, known as Plant 10, dedicated to manufacturing advanced adhesive films and specialty tapes.
To meet tightening environmental regulations and rising global demand, Orafol has once again partnered with Dürr Group to install its energy-saving Oxi.X RE regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO). This advanced system is engineered to handle high solvent concentrations while meeting the strictest environmental standards.
The Oxi.X RE operates at temperatures of 800°C to 900°C, oxidizing volatile organic compounds with remarkable efficiency. Its high-performance ceramic honeycomb design ensures excellent heat retention and energy reuse, making it a standout for eco-conscious industrial production.
Orafol’s collaboration with Dürr spans years, with 9 RTO units already delivered, covering its 280,000-square-meter manufacturing footprint. The new expansion will add a 10th system, further enhancing waste gas purification capacity.
This investment reinforces Orafol’s strategy to accelerate innovation and production while remaining committed to sustainability. With growing demand for self-adhesive graphic films and reflective materials worldwide, the company is scaling up operations with precision and environmental responsibility.
