Milliken Opens First Asian Chemical Factory in Singapore to Meet Rising Demand
Milliken & Company has officially launched its first chemical production facility in Asia, located in Singapore, to address the growing demand for advanced materials in the Asia-Pacific region.
The new facility will focus on Encapsys microencapsulation technology, a core innovation backed by over 70 years of patented expertise. Localized production will enable Milliken to respond faster to regional customer needs and provide flexible solutions for key sectors like personal care and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Zhao Xiaodong, Milliken’s Senior Vice President and President for Asia-Pacific, emphasized the strategic importance of Singapore as a regional hub, citing its mature industrial ecosystem and innovation-friendly environment.
With this milestone, Milliken aims to strengthen its collaboration with regional partners, drive industrial innovation, and explore sustainable development opportunities. The company envisions contributing to green manufacturing and aligning with global material transformation trends.
